Tach acting up
Yesterday I noticed that my tach was acting up. It won't fall go any lower than 3000 unless the key is off. As soon as it starts the tach immediately jumps to 3000 to 3500. It will move some but only when the motor is reved up pretty high. The motor is still idling at 700 but now the tach reads 3k.
I did a search and found a few people that said they had the same or similar problems but didn't see anyone who had fixed it. I was just curious if anyone had found a cure other than replacing the instrument panel. All other guages work with exception of the gas guage showing EMPTY when it really has a 1/4 tank left in it, but that has been like that.
Any suggestions welcome.

Tach acting up
Mine reads 200RPM with the truck off and 2600RPM when I am going 70mph! I have 3.55's with 28" tires, that equals about 1900-2000RPM not 2600RPM, basically factory tachs are crap
