Diesel Engine Option?
I have a 1999 Expedition XLT 2WD 4.6, and the mileage sux, as you all know. I'm curious about putting a Diesel in it instead.
Are there engines that will fit?
What are they?
Has anyone done this?

This would be the most difficult swap the you could possibly try . . . and not at all worth the thought let alone the effort.There were rumors of the "Baby PowerStoke Diesel" V-6 being available in the Expy and F150 late in the '04 model year but I wouldn't expect it that soon . . . rules of supply and demand don't you know.
