heres that boot I was talking about. Found on any 79-93 Mustang with a 5.0. Maybe other stuff also like t-birds and lincolns but not 100% sure.

Its ghey because its not needed and its less efficient at cooling.

The store.

Also, put an electric fan in with a switch so you can turn it off when you go through deep water and not have to worry about your fan throwing it everywhere.

None of the store round here carry it. They didn't even know what it was. I just got some pb blaster.

I'm getting a Lincoln Mark VIII Electric fan. Will it short out in mud?

I run a 16" Rapid cool from Orielly's think it was like 70 bucks, i made 2 back to back pass's the other night hard bogging like 5500RPM for a couple minutes while barely moving and it only got to 195 on the first and about 220 after the second, and my timing was a little off... changed my timing and made my last big tire class went out of course that time but it was only in the 180 range

Does It come with everything I need?

I finally broke the nut loose with pb blaster.
You can see in the pic theres mud that was caked under the shackle. Thats one reason I want to flip the hanger.

Now I have some questions.
Sould I take the bolt out holding the front of the spring on?
Do I need to take the axle off the springs?

I ran two Taurus fans on my wheeler, wired up so I could run them in high or low, or off of course. They moved tons of air, but when I was in the deep stuff, they would get dirty/muddy/water in them and I had to replace them, along with the alternator almost yearly.
