My 2000 ex 4x4 7.3 has a bad kunucle seal on the driver side. Is there any other point to that seal then keeping water and dirt in the axle tube? I really dont want to go through replacing my ball joints etc. The seal looks like it just dried up and seems to be stuck to the axle. Will it hurt anything driving like that? Does anyone have a write up on how to replace the seal?
