These are just my roll around wheels for now. My dad traded the wheels from his 442 for a new set of tires for mine so I can start driving it when its ready. I'm gonna go with original style 15 inch steel wheels with dog dish hub caps, just wider.

flathead water pump
I have a straight 6 flathead engine.
the H series, late '48 to the end of the line.
I am in need of a water pump and thermostat housing.
I don't want to restore, I want to get it going.
Anybody have these parts for sale?
(Any tips about these engines would be appreciated)
thanks!

But, you should start a new thread. Go back to the main 48 to 56 forum page and click on the New Thread button and ask your question again. You'll get more response with an informative
title. You could also post in the for sale, swap, or wanted thread at the top of the page.

So, no pictures but I do have some big news! Things weren't going quite the way I had hoped at Ford. I won't go into specifics but if anyone is that interested, you can PM me. I decided to look elsewhere and ended up getting n offer to go back to Mack trucks in Allentown PA. I took the offer and moved back last weekend and started work this past Monday. The truck is back at my dads shop again. I'm very happy to be home again, and now I can work on my powerstroke again, and help my dad work on his 442.

Thanks guys! The wife was very happy to move home. She was having a harder time in Michigan than I was. I'll get some pictures of the truck tomorrow when I'm back at the shop. I will definitely have to balance work time on the truck with the wife. Even though the shop is only a couple minutes down the road, it is different than just being out in the garage.

My previous experience at Mack definitely helped me get the job. My wife is from Berks, but her family lives in Lancaster County now. Only about 30 minutes away though.

Sounds like you guys made the right move and will be much happier with family nearby.

You ain't a-kiddin! We are trying to work out a way for us to move to the folks' farm (where the shop is too of course). I/we spend a lot of evenings in the summer working out there. It's tough for the little ones now too!
Sounds like you guys made the right move and will be much happier with family nearby.
