Hpop

Im cleaning up the engine to get it ready for paint and I would really like to be able to remove the hpop and reservoir as one peice is this possible? I don't want to disassemble the the whole thing so I'd like to just remove it as a unit so the block is easier to clean and paint. And if anyone knows what gaskets id need if any to remove it as one piece would be a big help. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

It can't be removed as one.

Damn I was lookin at one at school and the pump goes into the gear case

Yep pump goes into timing cover and reservoir bolts on top

Where can I get the gaskets for both of them? I can only find them with the pump

Hpop gasket
(Ford) F6TZ-9417-AA (engine serial no. 201681 & up
(IH) 1825685C1 (early)

Hpop res gasket
(Ford) F6TZ-6619-AA -Engine number 201680 up to 98.5; full gasket, no RTV
(International) 1823670C1 96-97 with standpipe?

Ok they have a kit at ford for the orings and the hpop gasket but they don't have the res gasket and they said they would have to order it from ford... It's only 40 for the orings and gasket so I'd only have to reuse the res gasket

Check with your local international dealer. When I got my hpop gasket it was 17 bucks

Ok so I might be able to keep everything that would be nice I'll have to see how they come off because they arnt leaking

The fitting doesn't need to come off the pump. Just take the lines off the fittings
