My fuel pressure has been slowly increasing over the last few hundred miles. Normally, it runs around 55 PSI but start creeping up slowly and steadily and is now close to 95 PSI. My first thought was a clogged fuel filter, but its only 15k miles old. Any ideas?
Like Greg says an FPR rebuild kit might solve it. F350-6 found that a bad poppet guide o-ring was the cause of his high fuel pressure. This o-ring is part of the rebuild kit.
I'm using a ISSPRO gauge with the sensor mounted in the fuel filter bowl.
G'day Nitro,
Could possibly be your ISSPRO Sender unit.
This increase in fuel pressure happened to my truck and after going over everthing I found the ISSPRO Sender unit to be the culprit. Got Clay to send replace ment and bingo all good.
Same thing has happened again and Clay is sending another.
It appears that ISSPRO have had a batch of faulty Sender Units and is trying to weed them out and dealing with their supplier.
I started a thread on this at begining of this month "FUEL PRESS SENDER UNIT? . It's on page 13 at present.
Go check that thread and you'll see a lot of issues from others on the ISSPRO Sender units causing increased high fuel pressure.
Not saying this is definately your cause, but it might be just that??

Very well could be. I've actually had quite a few issues with my ISSPRO gauges, and wouldn't be surprised one bit at this point. I've already got the FPR rebuild kit, so I'll do it anyways and see if it clears up the problem first.
Well I did the FPR rebuild this weekend, all went smoothly. The only problem is... it didnt fix the problem. I either still have high fuel pressure, or my gauge is lying to me. I'm guessing my gauge is the culprit as I've had issues with my other ISSPRO gauges too.
Anything else to check or another way of confirming high fuel pressure (besides installing a manual gauge)?

G'day again M8,
To check if the ISSPRO guage your using for fuel pressure is alright.
The Boost & Fuel pressure use the same connectors, so unplug the wiring off the Boost Sender unit and unplug the wiring off your fuel press sender and plug it onto your Boost sender unit.
Your fuel press guage should read normal Boost if it is ok .
Don't try it the other way around unless your Boost guage is a 0 - 100psi. (I'm guessing it is 0 - 30psi).
I did this as part my fault finding. Helped narrow it down to the fuel pressure unit being the cause of high fuel pressure reading.

Let your fuel pump cycle, leave the key on and drain your fuel bowl. See what your fuel pressure gauge reads. My isspro sender was bad and the gauge was reading 50+ psi with an empty bowl. It never hurts to rebuild the fpr, but you most likely have a bad sending unit.
I am having similar issues; however, I sent off for a new sending unit and my pressure is still 100psi. My next option is to build a gauge and see what my bowl pressure is compared to the ISSPRO gauge. I have a strong suspicion that the FRx spring may be the culprit but I am not sure and don’t have enough spare time to get that deep into a new project right now.
