Actually, the admins and chapter leaders approved this months ago, but the banner just got into Sean's hands a couple of weeks ago.

I suspect Steve was, far-and-away, the most-frequent signer.

Jose, anything yet? Our meet this year is June 13-14 and would love to have the new banner at our GTG......

 

Well, I don't know what happened with the replacement FTE banner, but with the blessing of IBJose, I was able to have a new banner made for the 1948-56 group for our "Truckstock" event that was held in September at Fall Creek Falls State Park, Pikeville, TN.

If you are not using it the NC Chapter would like to borrow it in early April and can return it after April 18th.

The banner was retired about 4 years ago, they were supposed to have a new one made, but it appears that it never happened.

 

I believe it was presented to Steve Price's (SteveBricks) "widow" at the memorial function that the SoCal FTE members held for him.

Steve had probably signed it more times, at more FTE events across the nation, than any other, thus that decision.

OK...how bout it FTE/IB bosses!! Isn't it about time to get the RALLY FLAG available again ????

 

As I am trying to get together a summer 2020 Ford RV Camping Rally going it would be great to have a new RALLY FLAG for this event !! Is there anyone in IB/FTE leadership that can make this happen? Maybe we can BORROW the flag that was presented to Steve's wife ???? If anyone knows her, can you ask her for us?

 

Instead of reminding Gail of a real sad event in her past, why not just go to a sign shop and have a new one made?

Since IB seems much more interested in monetizing their FTE property than contributing something to the esprit de corps of its participants, I'm sure you've come to realize they won't be real responsive to assisting you with this project. Sadly, they weren't always this way.

Just do it. That way, you'd have a banner for all your future Maryland GTGs, instead of having to beg for one to be shipped in.

Though I know Gail, I'd be the last one to make this kind of request of her.
