I dont know exactly where thr PCV is on your vehicle (4.0) On my 3.0 its on the valve cover. If your going to do your own work though, do your self a favor and buy either a Chiltons or Haynes manual on the Aerostar. I have the Haynes and it is very informative. It covers everything from fluid levels to engine rebuilds. the Haynes is also a bit cheaper at $14.95. I've used one for years on all of my cars and they haven't steered me wrong yet.
Good luck,

Remove the interior engine compartment cover. The PCV is located near the rear of the engine toward the driver's side. It is secured to a small upright support that makes it a little tricky to get in and out.

Only use a MotorCraft replacement part. I put in a NAPA PCV and my 93 4.0 started using oil. The NAPA person said it was the correct one for the van . I finally put in a Motor Craft one and the oil problem went away.
