code P0000

I just got my edge and have the same code.It says something about a self test being incomplete or something,cant remember exactly but I still dont know what it means.If I clear it ,it comes right back.I would be interested in what it means as well..

I think it may be more than that, but I can't be sure. I have two generic scan tools, one a cheapie Actron unit that I got at the parts store, and my Scangauge II. Each will display a P0000 when it doesn't know what the code is, and by that I mean something manufacturer specific.
I then plug in my AutoEnginuity and it spits out a real trouble code. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this means that it's something manufacturer specific that the Edge doesn't understand.

That's always a possibility and I can't answer with a fact.
My thoughts were 0001 was the first error and a check in the tech folder confirmed that.
That's all the research I put into it since the truck computer hasn't reported anything to me.
I wish I had looked at this DTC screen previously when my truck was perfect to see if P0000 has always been there.
I checked it because of my soot issue and that's all it reported.
I'm curious now...
