Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping the tranny cool
besides the factory cooler I alrdy have...ie:where to get a larger
pan and temp.guage... (best prices)
Probably the best thing you could do is to install an aftermarket cooler in front of your radiatior or AC condenser. It will do more for cooling than an oversize pan.
I put a trans oil cooler in my truck about 2 months ago. They are real easy to hook up, but you have to watch it. Just remember to check the hoses for leaks every so often. I was told to not put it in neutral while going down a hill, will fry the tranny.
I'm looking at several options myself right now..One I would like to get the supercooler from the diesel shop.. it seems to be able to assist the factory system from what I have seen so far.. They also have the autometer guage (white face) for about the best price.. I'm trying to get into the FTE site motorhaven to see what options I have there. I'm sure that ken and associates will have several items that will help.. Let me know what you find out, and I'll follow the thread also.. maybe between the two of us we can come up with somthing.. Good luck.
