61 radio problems

I'm sure that i've just overlooked it, but I can't seem to find a diagram of the little string routing that adjusts the radio pointer in a 61 ford radio. It was all wadded up around the gear when I took it apart ot attempt to fix it.

A radio shop might have the diagram but I doubt the Ford shop manual does. There's no diagram in the parts catalog. The only parts of the actual radio that were available by themselves were the *****.

If it's the original radio, it will have tubes, there are no pushbuttons. The bezel that contains the ***** and dial is not made as part of the chassis.

it is the factory tube radio, but the radio works just fine. What I am having problems with is the dial indicator, the little string that pulls it across the scale is all wound up around the gear and I need some idea of how it was originally wound in order to repair. I would buy the radio pamphlet if I knew it was in there otherwise I guess I will just keep winding it in different ways that seem to make sense until I find the right one.
