I too need my bench fixed, but I shall fix it with high back later model buckets! I will also be adapting the center console from my Excursion to the Bronco since I upgraded the Ex to one with front and rear cup holders. It has a broken VCR taking up 1/3 of the inside storage space. Trying to figure out how to remove the VCR and add a storage drawer or retractable cup holders for the rear seat passengers in its place...

Might be a noob question but what do you mean by VCR? I envision the tape player VCR... As for my bench, i love having a full bench and have had buckets in my mustang. They were ok but since i might be camping out of my truck at some point a bench to sleep on is better than the floor, and the rear bench doesn't have the best support to it. My 88 ranger had a "bench" but the passenger seat was it's own bucket seat. I disliked not having a full bench so i made that a requirement for my bronco.

That is exatly what it is. The Excursion had a VCR (tape player) rear seat entertainment system. The screen was broken when I bought it so the dealer fixed it by upgrading it to a self contained DVD player and unhooked the VCR. I spent 4 years with the stock console and VCR taking up the space. Really nice to not deal with it anymore so I will do something with it before it goes in the Bronco.

Oh OK, that makes sense. Our Chevy family mover had a similar thing that we upgraded to DVD.

A VCR in an Excursion? Wow, I thought for sure that it would have had a DVD player. How times have changed.

That is a great deal getting those parts for only $50. Having fun off road usually leads to something breaking. Just glad to see the Bronco is ok and noone was hurt.

Me too.. my thoughts exactly with mine. I always baby mine too much when I take her out, but I still have fun! It is my daily driver though, and after all the cleaning/new paint, and soon to come new molding, I don't want her to get too dirty!! However, I do need to go on some trails soon.. it's been too long!

If a 4x4 is not dirty, then it is not being used properly.

Mine gets dirty pretty quick. I just don't want to break stuff. the only reasons mine is clean is because I went to a show, and I haven't driven it since I test drove after the brakes were done.

Yeah mine gets dirty pretty quickly too, especially since I live where there are a lot of dirt roads. I just like having it clean.....! I used to get more mud on it when I first got her, but after my paint job and new headlights, I want to show them off! Plus I'm getting my new molding to replace the faded stuff I have now so I'll be forced to show that off when I put it on!
