Pull codes on EEC III?

Pull codes on EEC III?
I've searched the forums and can't find any info on how to pull the computer codes on an EEC III system. All I can find is EEC IV/OBD II stuff. Anyone know how or if it's even possible. 1982 w/351W if that helps
