I've searched the old threads and ain't found what I wanted. I'm wanting to get glowshifts diesels package of 3 gauges but I don't know if it comes with the wiring. And what's yalls opinion of that brand. I'm kinda tight on money and they seem to be best bang for my tight buck.
I believe they come with all the wiring you need, but they also sell a separate wiring kit that supposedly simplifies the installation. IIRC, it wasn't much extra to get the wiring kit. I think they are good entry level gauges. Heck Jim (Rosewood Diesel) sells them and runs them in his own trucks. That's what I will be getting when I get gauges. I'm somewhat in the same boat. I'm not cheap.... I'm just BROKE!
I got 'em, they're great. Install was a breeze and I have no complaints about them at this time. They come with all the plumbing you need for the job, and you shouldn't come up short on length. Like Nate said, they do sell a wiring kit, which probably makes it all a little neater looking if you are not in to wrapping your own wiring properly. I say bite the bullet and make the order.
I got this one from Jim at Rosewood. $179 shipped to your door with everything you need to install. You can choose how you want the three gauges. 3in1 Diesel Combo Gauges
Don't get Glowshifts wiring kit. It's a waste of money. It's made for wiring up the sensors, but the boost gauge doesn't have a sensor and uses tubing and the egt sensor comes with plenty of steel braided wire. The only one that need wiring for me was the fuel pressure gauge.
I have the boost and transmission temp glow shift on my a piller. I didn't get the triple pod kit since I already had the digital egt gauge. I made my harness simple install and havent had any ptobloms

I have a 1996 with a 7.3L. i just bought my triple gauge / pod set. where did you put the transmission sensor? in the directions, it states to locate the test port on the tranny. where is it located?
as for the other guy asking about the additional wiring, i think additional wire really isnt necessary. i wouldnt spend the extra money for it. but these glow shift gauges are pretty sharp.
i agree! ive got the intake off and drilled. i just need to tap it. then my boost is hooked up and working. and i need to drill my exhaust pipe and tap it and it will be up and working. not a difficult addition!
Make sure you put the EGT probe in the manifold, not the exhaust pipe!!! If you get your temps after the turbo, you're just guessing, really. Specs from International and Ford state that max manifold ext temp should not exceed 1250 F. After flowing through the turbo, the gases are cooler, but there is no way to know how much cooler. It's a no brainer, really. Put your probe before the turbo.
