I just bought a 2003 v10 f250 with 94,000 miles. Looks new inside and out. I am excited to move up to a real truck. I have a couple of questions. The rear differential cover is leaking and the truck seems to bounce a little more than my other 1/2 trucks. Would the rear leak be covered under warranty? Also, the truck did not come with a wireless entry key fob, not sure if it originally had wireless entry. How can I check? I also need to purchase a set of running boards, anyone have any good suggestions? The truck is like an electric blue color with a silver lower stripe. Thanks for any advice.
If you got a warranty (if you bought from a dealer, or if there is some kind of extended warranty) the diff leak may be covered, unless they open it up and find that it was do to owner negligence. If the diff and mating surface is not damaged, you can probably fix it yourself fairly easily. By bounce, do you mean stiff, as in you feel more bumps? If so, its probably just due to a bit beefier suspension. As long as it doesnt feel isolated to a certain part of the truch, you just have to get used to having a tougher truck! Mine didnt come with keyless entry either, but if you have electronic locks, you can have one installed, even by doing it yourself for pretty cheap.
