Your turbo has vanes that help spool the turbo up much faster than the old 7.3 PSD that was simply a turbine without vanes. (spelling?)

I have read that the turbo may need cleaned from time to time, may want to google that since I am a V10 owner and don't really know first hand.

Oh, Change the fuel filters (both of them) every 10k miles. Drain the water separator often, and possibly add a coolant filter.

I discovered that the FRAM oil filter for the 6.0 is a repackaged Motocraft oil filter. they come with the EXACT same instructions when I helped my friend change the oil in his 6.0.

Oil- Lots of folks recommend Rotella 15w40. Good stuff, don't cost too much either.

Take care of it, run it like you stole it, and it will take care of you.

Thanks!

Only stick with motorcraft filters! There is videos on YouTube explaining the aftermarket filters. I know certan bends will actually come apart! Make sure you keep up on all your maintainence and you'll be good! As for oil pick a brand and stick with it. I run Rotella T 15w-40. I have the 7.3 and I know they are very different but the same concept. Has anything ever been done to the truck like egr delete or any other improvements? I know alot of guys go with a coolant filter kit. Let's see pics of the truck! And enjoy it!
