Hi all. Just a few quick questions on the Blaster 2F coil. Has anyone here used it? Is it the drop in as advertised? I have heard that it WILL eat up distributor cap contacts. Is this true. To get the max benefit from the extra windings and voltage would i have to bypass the resistet in the Duraspark2 system? Any coments or suggestions are most welcome. Popa John
Been running one for about 5 months now without issue. It is just a drop in, plug&play, but I haven't looked at the cap. Can't see where that would be a problem if the other components are in good order... The one I bought was for the dura-spark system so no other changes were needed.
Thanks guys. I'll go and buy one to compliment the recurved Duraspark2 distributor. Oldstyle, I have gotten a LOT of second looks at the speedometer you sent me. The gang up here didn't believe that a 100 MPH speedo exsisted for the dents. Thanks again my friend. Popa John
That is what I want.... THUNDER. The old ford coil was weak in the spark department , that is why I'm replacing it with the blaster 2F. A bigger spark =more complete and faster burning in the combustion chamber= more THUNDER. Popa John
