My point here is with the new Silverado forthcoming GM will be forced to move their armor with big time incentives which should carry over to Ford. And I'm sure Dodge won't be left behind for they too are introducing new models.
Future truck buyers? Hang on for a few more months and you'll be rewarded.
Since ALL Ford trucks are F-series (no more Rangers, and SUV's aren't regarded as trucks for sales number purposes) how can total Ford truck sales be down 9% while F-series are up .4%? It would seem that total Ford truck sales would be up .4%, being that ALL Ford trucks are F-series (risking being repetitious here...). Maybe you might clarify this.
The rebates on the Silverado were ridiculous in last week or so. Something like $7,000 off or something like that, so I was told. They could be free and I still wouldn't take one.

OK- Forgot about the Wagons, Cargo Vans, and Stripped Chassis, which are all E-Series. I was over-focused on the Work Trucks, Pickup Trucks, and Chassis Cabs, which are mostly F-Series - SOME of the Chassis Cabs are E-Series. I guess I jumped the gun.
And so did I; I pulled the trigger about 3 weeks ago on a 2013 (they quit building '12's) F 150 XLT Reg Cab Short Bed 5.0. Can't wait till it gets here!

Gary...FYI...your truck don't count until you take delivery of it. Something to look forward to!!! Congrats!!!
Good point- Didn't think of that. In that case I guess it'll be part of either late August or early Sept. stats. But oooooh, yeah, I DO look forward to it! It replaces one stolen, recovered, and totalled by AAA insurance in June. It'll be nice to have my own wheels again! The '95 F-250 I've been using for the time being is OK, but it DOES have 212,000 miles on it, and the interior shows it.
A few weeks ago a friend of a friend who happens to work for a Ford dealership was out boozing with us. I asked him about my plans on getting a new rig and he said that best bet was to wait till Oct-Nov. Sales have been a little slower and end of year will be a big push as they know Chevy will be giving Silverado's away. He told me 8-10k off MSRP is doable at the right dealership, just dont expect it on a Raptor or diesel SD.
Cool! Which configuration? You know, cab, bed, engine, etc., etc.
Inquiring minds HAFTA KNOW! Mainly cuz we're really nosey........
ll I wanted in my truck was cruse, air, 4x4, and towing package. I bought the STX. It had everthing I wanted. It has a vinyl matt instead of carpet, which is perfect for me. If I get a deer I don't have to worry about bloody boots on the carpet. Motor 5.0 (302). From what I have read this should be enough motor to tow my camper (4,000 lbs empty). My previuos truck had the 4.6. which wasn't recommened to tow even my small camper. Power windows but not seats. I can live with that. I added a sliding rear window for easy access to the cooler in the box and other things. CD player and am/fm radio.
