Been reading some maintenance stuff for Blue, thinking about a trans fluid flush!

Its always good to replace the tranny fluid Steve, a flush is usually over board but if you drop the pan & replace the filter & fluid you should be good.......

The fluid in there now is clean so if you drop the pan, replace the filter, the gasket should be re-usable, then refill the fluid you will be fine.....

There should be a magnet in the pan, just grab it with a rag & wipe it clean then put it back after you've cleaned out the pan......

Its up to you if you wanna try and change more fluid & do that flush...

 

Good morning New Jersey, happy Friday! Steve, when was the last time you had it done? I have mine serviced every 30K or so.

 

It is pretty clean, just gonna be hitting 80k sometime this winter, and thought it was about time for some fresh fluid!

 

Thats right Steve, some fresh fluid and a new filter & clean off the magnet, thats how we did it for 30 yrs & never had a problem .......

Now if the torque has a drain plug you can drain it there too.......

You dont have to change all the fluid but its yer call
