Ya thats a lot of rust for a southern truck........

That hose is a differential vent hose........

Its a shame you guys cant use oil undercoating like ''rust check'' or ''krown'' there to protect against rust

There is another one in the rear, that comes off the block that the brake lines attach to!

Yup, thats the vent hose for the rear diff.........we just gotta make sure the hose stays clear so it can breathe

Even spray it with Fluid film or anything like that, I've never heard of Black star, I'll google it

I'm gonna change the differential cover in the rear, but debating picking up a set of 4.30 ring and pinions first.

Well I need to get back to work on this PC..

Now I get to setup the hardware and start reinstalling the software..

If you change the rear gears you'll have to replace the front gear too......
