First 2-V Rebuild
First 2-V Rebuild
Should have been here in first place--
I've rebuilt my 2150 MC 9TE ALB
I'ts got a bowl vent and spring loaded vent rod setup actuated by throttle.
The rebuild kit says to adjust the vent rod to get a .050 inch clearance from the flat of the vent rod to the fully seated bowl vent valve, but after breaking the spring trying to get it back together. I want to understand its function better. How to adjust?
I've rigged another spring using a ballpoint pen spring, but I'd like to know if I set it up right or not. Got it so when throttle opens then the vent rod will close onto bowl vent.
Also, does the bowl vent valve have a washer, spring or anything? what makes it move to vent?
Anybody shed light on this I'd appreciate the help.
