rear brakes

Ok, I had to replace my rear shoes because they were getting low, so now I am having this problem when I hit the brakes, it feels like I'm gonna get thrown thru the windshield. And when coming to a stop, They grab really quick. I tried re-adjusting the rears again, and it also seams like my parking brake gets set in just one click... Where to go from here?

You got the primary shoe in the front, and the secondary shoe in the back?

That is a good question. The shoes weren't marked at all but doesn't the shoe with more "meat" on it go toward the back of the truck?
