Red light on dash?
Hello all, Noob here
I have a 95 f350 4x4 super cab 5.8l.
There is a red led light that stays on all the time. It is located just above 4x4 switch panel. anybody know what this is? I did a search, but not much luck. Looked through the owners manual, no luck there either. Thanks in advance for any help.

Does the light say anything? Can you take a picture of it?

Thanks for your reply. No the light doesn't say anything. Can't post pics yet. It's a small LED light just above the 4x4 panel on the dash board not the gauge cluster. looks factory , but who knows? Thanks again!

I wonder if it's an indicator light for an aftermarket alarm system..... most of those are a single red led, they usually flash when armed, and are off when the alarm is disarmed.

Looks like an alarm led to me, the part about it being on all the time is the part that puzzles me if it is...
Does it stay on all the time, or does it come on with the key?
There was certainly never an indicator like that in that location from the factory .
Guess a PO could have thought it looked cool and wired it so it is on all the time...

That's an aftermarket alarm LED. If it's constantly on, that means it is in Valet mode.
Look for a black push-button switch somewhere under the dash to confirm this. Mine is right by the parking brake release.
