I checked baro, map ebp yesterday they were down to 14.1, I adjusted the boost code accordingly, no more negative, tops out at 25-26 psi now.

ALTHOUGH
while watching fmp it is slowly creeping down. used to see 48-47 all the time, now seeing 45-46. guess it's time to send it to Ed.

AND I don't know what this means, on my way home last night the eot and ect switched around, meaning eot ran about 180* ect was 193*. this was doing 50mph bst 5-7psi, about 1500rpms. checked coolant when I got home it is at the right level with no discolor. oil is right at the max line. typical temps for me are 195-205 ect with a delta of 4-8 degrees, eot being higher.

any ideas? thanks!

checked the sensors after a cold soak over night. iat 71, tft 69, eot 70.2, ect 69.

looks like the sensors are ok. maybe the stat since I've done a flush and elc switch??? I'm guessing any junk from the flush might get stuck? I've been wanting to get a transfer pump, reverse the hoses on the filter and pump thru backwards to get anything left.

the fan has been coming at weird ect temps. with the eot @189* and the ect@ 195* just putting thru town. on the highway the eot will get to 190* and the ect to 219* the fan will come on, rolling Taxachusetts hills @ 70 mph.

this is brand new, I guess I'll start another thread since I've been set straight on the negative boost thing.

thanks all!

So it did stop going into the negative Boost Numbers???

Just keep in mind with the Any Temp Sensor just Cuz its same temp at a Cold Soak with the other temp sensors Still Dont mean its a Good Temp sender

However it is 1 Good Indicator when cold soak temps are the same

You also need to watch temp senders as truck heats up make shure it dont jump around as it comes up Nice and steady temp rise as truck warms up

A thermostat is a Good place to start

High ECT Like you have could be a Thermostat-Temp Sender-water pump-HeadGasket-wire harness any of those

Do you have Any PUKE????

no more negative boost #s.

the temps go up steady just like they ususally do. once the eot catches up around 185-190*, the eot stays there around town and goes to 205*ish on the highway or higher boost #s just like it did 4 days ago. the ect climbs to 205* around town and 217*ish on the highway. it used to be the lower delta by 4-10*.

no puking,no coolant loss, no added oil, no diesel smell in the oil or the coolant and no film floating in the coolant. when it does get high * it does NOT have as much getupandgo.

Yes Oil temp should always be Higher than Coolant temp

Thus we have Oil Cooler

Power Loss Dont sound Good Are you seeing ECT 221* thats the temp PCM will start to defuel

Use a OEM thermostat if possible they seem to last longer

just picked up a stat at the dealer. I'll get it in today unless the thunder storms roll in.

dont remember it at 221*.

I thought that the oil temp would spike if the oil cooler was suspect?

got the stat changed. I think it was the original that rolled out of the factory, the grooves that were worn into the shaft from the spring are deep.
