My LPOP seems to be wearing out so tomorrow morning I'm installing a Melling pump. I read Riffraff's instructions and have a question. Is there only one way the georotor rings go together? Neither instructions say if there is only one way they are to go in. And also anyone have any tips to help make things go smoother?
Thank You!
The Melling can be put in anyway it fits, the stock has to face a certain way. I would rent the tool to hold the motor from spinning if I do it again. You can take the bolt out without it, but you can't torque it down. I used Red Loctite heheh.
Mine came out easy, just kindly bump it a bit with a rubber mallet. Only thing I messed up was when I took out the fan shroud it bumped the upper fitting from the degas tank on the radiator and it broke so make sure you remove that hose.
