Got in my truck this morning and everything worked fine, no problems. Arrived at my destination and parked. Come out about two hours later start the truck and my A/C wont blow air, My truck is an 05 lariat so it has the climate control A/C. Everything was working fine it just wont blow air, When i turned the A/C on and off i could hear/feel the small thump of the clutch engaging on the compressor.
Im thinking the blower fan just went south? or maybe something stupid that controls the blower fan? Any help is much appreciated because summer is in full swing here in central florida, temps are 95+ not including the humidity
Fuse F2 under the hood, blower relay in underhood fusebox, the blower motor, the blower speed controller, EATC module, or any of the wiring between components or to power or ground.
With the EATC, it's not a simple circuit and wil require some real troubleshooting to get it right the first time.
Start with checking the fuse, then see if there's a relay in the same box with t he same specs you can swap for the blower relay. After that, anything will require a meter at a minimum.
I dont have any tools with me so ill check what i can, hopefully its something simple. If it was the blower fan how much work/time would that be to replace?
u should just chk if ur blower is geting power, if it is, its the blower if its not chk the switchs in the cab those go out ALOT on fords and did u ohm test the relay? and changing a blower isnt bad we have 29 ambulances and they go out constently but u should by fine go to ur parts store get ur self a test light and a small racht set and u can do alot.GOOD LUCK lemme knw how it goes

Ill have to go to advanced auto parts, ill post how it goes
So it started working again today, all by its self. anyone know what would cause it to do this?
An intermittent connection, one of the most frustrating of problems to pin down since it will usually work when you're looking for it but fail when you want to use it.
I have a 2005 F250 and had a similar problem. Does it blow out of the defrost? If so it has to do with the vacum lines and vacum pump. I had to check the pump on the passenger side on the wheel well. It worked fime. I then checked all of the vacum lines, even the ones that run to the front automatic hubs. I was told to cut a half of an inch off of them. I haven't tried that yet. I can get mine to work again by switching into 4 wheel drive and then back to 2 wheel drive. I was amazed it worked. Haaven't had a problem since. I don't know how long this will last.
next time go off, take a hammer and hit the motor blower, see what happen
Where is the motor located?

Its not blowing out of the defrost, so im thinking loose connection(someone above said it) or a chaffed wire. It worked fine all day today ill just have to wait and see if it does it again
It is necessary to distinguish whether you have a blower that isn't running at all vs. a blower that runs but does not push the air out the correct ducts.
Different problems, different causes, different solutions.
