Did you check the hpop resivour level after letting it sit all night? How long since oil change? Condition of lube oil pump can affect oil level for hpop adversely until engine is warm.....rick...am I learning now?

Lube pump is behind balancer on the outside of timing cover. .003 recession of gears is max wear.also check timing cover for wear.

its been sitting for about a month now, i tryed starting it yesterday and would not start at all. i even used a tiny shot of either. oil has around 2000, 2500 miles on it. did not check level of hpop because it is striped out where you put the key stock in. going to work on it this weekend. and get the hpop plug out and get a new one thats not striped out. a friend said possably the idm was bad, what do you think?

It only idles when cold...runs fine once hot...man I may be off base but I really am leaning toards an oil issue. Lord knows I aint perfect but I would be checking some things before I pay someone to guess.BUT if you have an idm you can borrow...try it for it is less work to swap...

or if you have a scanner you can also watch icp vs ipr values and see if the pressure is low also.500 minimum to start. less than 16% duty cycle at idle If I remember corectly.
