I live west of Milwaukee and, while I don't mud all that much, I know a couple bronco guys in my neighborhood that swamp all the time. They were just in Indiana at some rally or something.
I live for mud! I grew up in Milwaukee (76th & Mill area) and now live in Cleveland, WI (just north of Sheboygan). My brother lives in Brown Deer and my cousin lives in LaGrange. The three of us are heading up to McCasslin Mt. Campground and the pipeline for Memorial Day weekend.
They're both just outside of Crivitz and are a total blast!
Hey, oppy. Did your friends go to the Badlands off road park in Attica, IN? I'd love to get out there, but I hear it's not that great for full sized trucks. More for Jeeps.
Is anyone else heading to Crivitx for Memorial Day weekend?
You go to Marshall HS? I'm a former nortsider myself...more in the hood tho. I went to Marshall about a million years ago. Live outside of Lake Mills now.
I'm not sure what park they went to, Badlands actually sounds familiar but I'll hafta ask them for sure. I know they went to some kind of organized event though. I think you're right about short WB vehicles there - they all use Broncos, not quite as short as a Jeep, but I guess they work okay there. These guys are nuts, I don't think they have spent more than two hundred bucks on any of their rigs, so I guess they don't have much to lose if they pile one up- which they do.
I don't really have a mud truck. My wife used to belong to a truck club that went up there a bunch of times a year. Some day, when I don't have anything better to do with my money, maybe I'll put something together.
A group of us are taking our 73-79 broncos down to the Badlands in Indiana the second week of june (fathers day weekend) if anyone wants to join us the more the fun. I think the website is www.badlandsoffroad.com There is also a tuff truck competition in Mt Horeb on May 31st. Other areas in the state...most people head north to the pipeline. The badlands has 700 acres with places for all years and sizes from your new, to older bronco, to your radical toy!
