Question compatiblity question???

I found some Nice 2011 crew cab running board ( he's asking $90) but I need to know if they will fit on a 2000 excursion. Any one try do this mod yet?

yes! i've been looking for a set of those forever!!!!

99-2012 crew cab steps will bolt up to any excursion.

Nice . Do you know what they cost new from Ford and if $90 is a good price? These will look so much better than the plastic stock ones...

new from ford they are about $400 EACH! $90 is a STEAL!

They don't have lights like the stock ones do they?

nope no lights, but thats a easy aftermarket add on if you so choose.


i've been checking craigslist for over a year and lost out on a few because i was an hour too late calling on them. they go fast atleast around here.

Normally speaking, running boards have lights, steps don't, unless they've been added or are aftermarket.

And yeah, $90 bucks is a great price, even if it was $90 bucks each.

I just got the steps for only $90!

It looks like they mount on differently than the stock ones

Are there any tutorial on this?

yes its called take truck and new running boards to a local welder and show them the two items ( truck and running boards) then say in little kid voice " i wana put this there" then point and ask " how much"

the oem running board uses 5 backets. the steps use 3 of the 5. take running board off and use the 3 that match up with the ones on the steps. what did they come off of? only crewcab steps will work on our Ex's......

I can't speak to the 2012 year side steps you bought, but based on the picture, they do look exactly the same as the ones that work on Excursions.

What kind of problem are you having, exactly? You're sure you have the correct step for the correct side, right?
