Help

I came home tonight pulled in the garage and turned off my lights, problem is only the parking lights turned off, the head lights stay on, the switch on the rearview mirror is off and the only way to get them to turn off is to disconnect the battery, but as soon as I re-connect they turn right back on again. HELP!!

By the way its a '99 explorer EB 5.0

Electrical gremlins can be the most frustrating of all diagnoses. The only advice I can give is to get a wiring diagram and a volt-ohm meter and start checking the wiring. Check the switch and make sure it's working as it should. There may be a relay that is stuck closed. Be sure to check the grounds carefully.
