Timing-RPM issue
Hey,
It seems that my timing has jumped on my Ranger. I remember before that I would have to change in to 5th gear around 50mph. Now I don't have to change into fifth gear until about 62mph. Also when I first try to drive I hear a chattering and the engine acts like it is going to cut off......anyone can feed me some knowledge on this. (manual transmission)

Timing-RPM issue
Welcome to FTE!!!!
The 3.0L has a timing chain, not a timing belt!! So, I don't think
you have jumped time. You may want to try cleaning your MAF
sensor. Another thing you can do is scan for codes. I'm not
sure what the connection is to the speed you shift into 5th
gear is.....good luck!!!
