HPOP Plug?
2001 F-350 4x4
Lost the plug out of the top of the HPOP tank.
The little check plug , I took it out and dropped it into the engine somewhere never to be seen again.
Need the truck right away so ordering and new plug from the US isnt a option.
Does anyone know what size bolt with what kind of threads would fit?
The truck is needed and is in a remote camp up on the Alaska Hyw , so any info would be appreciated.

I am not sure of the size, I hope someone on here does. Just an idea, what about one of those rubber oil pan drain plug repair plugs. The rubber one that you tighten the wing nut to expand the rubber.
I can pull mine and see if I can figure it out when I get home.

Just thought, not sure if a bolt would seal it anyway without the oring.
It appears that it is the same size at the pressure port adapter

The thread size for the HPOP reservoir port is 7/16” -20 TPI. It is a #4 ORB (o-ring boss).

See I knew someone would know. The 1/8 fnpt is on the other end of the adapter, that makes sense.

Can you find a short bolt that size and fab a gasket to seal it?

Keep looking on the motor. Maybe you'll find it.

If I was buying a bolt from a bolt outfit I would ask for a 7/16-20 TPI?
Whats the TPI?
What type of threads is what I need to know I think.
