Just changed the pump...
...and of course, I put together a photo album of the process. It applies to all '91-up pickups & Broncos, and probably a lot of other vehicles.

Hey man! I really appreciate you putting that on the site! A picture is worth a thousand words!!! I think that will help me change the front tank fuel pump on my 94 f-150! I have a nice Chilton's manual, but for some reason your examples gave me some peice of mind... my biggest problem area are the dog-gone line connections...I just need to perfect separating them, then I'll be OK. I really don't think they were made to be easy, but hey maybe it'll get easier. THANK YOU! Later-Brandon

Just changed the pump...
If they have grit packed in them, feel free to blast them out with a water hose just before disconnecting them. Then, be sure to push them together to relieve the pressure on the springs BEFORE inserting the tool. Rotate the tool back & forth to make sure it's catching the whole spring, and push it in FULLY before trying to pull the tool & female side away from the male side.
