Door Closing

I have the strangest problem on my 67 F-100. The drivers door closes as it should, nice and solid. The passenger side closes but it is at the very end of inward adjustment on the striker plate. I have pretty new rubber seals on both doors and they look exactly the same. I thought maybe I needed a new latch so I got a good one from the wrecking yard and replaced mine - no change. I'm thinking about modifying the holes on the body where the striker plate attaches but I hate to do that. Any ideas?
Thanks.

installed new door seals on my F-100 awhile back. The doors shut hard until the seals flattened out a little bit. Do you have to slam the door to make it latch?

Forgot that I did this post. Thanks for getting back. No, I don't to slam the door. In fact, it closes with very little effort but the it doesn't close as tightly as the other side. I think I will go ahead and replace the seal anyhow and see what happens.
