Distributor question
I am getting ready to replace my distributor and have a couple of questions.
What are the advantages / disadvantages between the steel gear and the cast iron gear that are offered ? Secondly, what if any difference would I see between, say an MSD distributor and a local auto parts brand ?

Distributor question
The only advantage I can see fron a steel gear compared to the cast is that the steel would wear better and last longer. And as for Msd vs Parts store distributor. The MSD woulod probaly deliver the spark stronger and more accuratly but unless you have a performace engine, it wouldnt do much.
