Question Rear main seal

I am replacing a 5.0 in my 89 F250 with a motor from a 90 Bronco. It has around 65,000 miles on it. Should I go ahead and replace the rear main seal before I put it in? Or does... "If it ain't broke don't fix it" apply here?

Rear main seal

For the cost I would replace the rear main seal, torque converter seal and possibly the oil pan seal. Beats taking the engine or trans out in amonth when you develop a leak. CHEAP INSURANCE

I agree with other reply. If you have a manual trans better do throw out brg ,pilot brg and look pretty hard at pressure plate and clutch disc also.I'm putting rebuilt in 89 250 myself and am doing away with efi and smog. good luck.
