Notorious radiator leaks are being reported from 2008 F250 Diesels.
I was 2 weeks out of warrenty and the dealer choose not to help. Called Ford Service, they said that they have not heard about it. Just look up the TSB 09-23-1 it is listed in the TSB/Recall section as (06-23-1) Type-O I think.
Everyone needs to call this number and report there radiator issues
FORD SERVICE 1-800-392-3673
Let's put Ford on notice about this issue.

Myself and countless others have had their original replaced, fortunately for me my extended warranty minus $100 paid for a new one. It's not just 6.4 trucks that are plagued, the 6.7 guys are reporting issues also. This is to be expected when you cut corners to save a buck.
Very dishonest! It says it right in the TSB, "known radiator leaks." For those of you that have been lucky and not had a problem, good for you. I hope you keep on trucking, but for those of us who have not been lucky, call the number and put Ford on Notice for this. We ended up replacing the radiator with another brand. Replaced the thermostat, O rings and hoses as stated in the TSB. Total cost was just under $1600. Ford in their generosity, was going to charge us $2700. Call that number people!!!
It's unfortunate that some owners had to replace their radiators on their own dime, but how about the guys who went through 2 and 3 of them. Even the 6.7 owners have been having issues with leaking radiators.
Yes, ljutic ss I read many posts about multiple replacements. I saw one on his 3rd under 27,000 miles. That is straight crazy. Ford has got to see this as a problem. There's no way they can't. I'm due for a new vehicle soon...I'm crossing of Ford.
I just had my radiator replaced by Ford under their warranty. I only use my 2008 to pull my fifth wheel travel trailer and just now turned 31K. I believe what caused mine to start leaking now was changing out the expansion bottle "radiator cap". I read several articles about the bad caps the factory used not holding pressure so I checked mine out. Sure enough the cap would not hold over 6 psig and was supposed to hold 16 psig. Changed it out with a new Motorcraft cap so everything would be "factory". The next time I pulled out I went through the mountains in east Tennessee and pulled several long 8% grades going and coming back home. When I parked the truck back in the garage, guess what, a coolant leak. Took it to the dealer the next day and they had to do major surgery to get her fixed. I hope that is the end of it with new radiator, hoses, expansion bottle and cap. Flushed the system and put in new anti-freeze. But after reading threads about two and three fixes I don't have warm and fuzzies about this fix .
And there are several out there with their orginal radiators as well.
I`m one with the original. Lots of Dealer upgrades thou,,, Hoses, 2 thermostats, and other stuff,, hose connectors (single to double). I have a great dealer that jumps on any tsbs etc. I`m a true job 1 made in 07 like Senix I believe.

Really not sure if mine is a Job 1 or2? Bought mine 12/2007 and I think the build date was 10/2007. Maybe a difference between the F250/350 configuration vs. the F450? I have a friend that got his F450 in 01/2008 and has had zero problems with anything. He pulls a Carri-Lite fifth wheel loaded to +/- 17,000# with around 50K now showing on the truck. I pull a smaller Carri-Lite load of +/- 13.5K and this is the first problem I have had with my truck. But, I still have my old pull truck as a back up, a 1997 F-250HD 7.3 Powerstroke and she is still running super strong with 160K showing. The '97 has never been in the shop for anything major since new. I guess they don't build them like they used too.
I have also had 2 radiators replaced in my truck and now the engine is totally blown. I use this truck in my business and it has caused me a lot of headaches. Waiting now to see what Ford is going to do about the engine. It only hasd 62,000 miles on it. Very dissapointed in Ford at his point.
Well the replacement radiator lasted 40 days!!! This was a replacement of original parts. I don't know what Ford needs to do, but these radiators suck FORD.
Let's hope it makes it longer then 40 days. Will keep everyone posted.
Oh, I called the 800 number that I listed and they still say they have no knowledge of leaks. I gave the woman my VIN and she said there was no notes from my previous call.
Ford is trying to cover their ***.
My truck is in the shop for a coolant problem and the tech said that they can not find where they replaced the radiator two years ago. It sounds like a coverup all the way around. Deny everything ever happen.
Trying to help my buddy with his 6.4. Hes had one rad installed by a stealership already. The TSB refers to a venturi tee needing installing if the build date is before 5/2008...his is 09/2007details? what to look for to check wether it needs this Venturi tee? Also what is the link to the thermostats and radiator leaks, where are they and why are there 2 (two???!!)
