Camaro parts car?
I know this is a Ford forum, but I just got my dads 80 z28 and its not in good condition. I found another abandoned 80 z28 in great condition, i would love to use it as parts but the whole house has been abandoned and the car is just sitting in the back for some time now. Is there any way I can get it? Or can I just go pick it up, im using it for parts

It sounds like that's a question you need to ask your father.
In my opinion, all Chevy's are parts cars.
EDIT: After misunderstanding what you said (I thought the abandoned car was your fathers car, I'll take my 10 lashes with a wet noodle please) and finally understanding after Dave typed a response, I agree with what Dave said. Trace the owner before you even go near it. Hate to have you land in jail for vehicular theft, even if the car is on abandoned property.

You're gonna have to track the actual owner down one way or the other. If you can track the owner down by some miracle, chances are he's gonna eventually restore the car someday (never). If the owner of the property has passed away, and the property is caught up in an Estate settlement among his family, forget about it. If you can't track down the property owner at all, you'll have to contact the county office and see if they can contact the owner in some way for you. Problem is, they'll probably tell you tough luck. Do NOT track down the property owner's family. It is not their car, not their property, not their worry. You don't need to be bothering them with something out of their control. If the property is part of a divorce settlement, forget about it as well.
As you can see, acquiring an abandoned vehicle is a nightmare, and as was said, you can easily find another parts car quicker than you could attain the abandoned car you found.
My dad used to play this game, and he never won. I doubt you will either.
