WOW Dave, that is some nasty carnage! Good thing you had spare parts, but sucks that had to happen, especially pulling the camper.

Man! I haven't seen a rear end blown out like that since I dated this old girl from.........oh, wait, that's of topic.....LOL!!! Just kiddin!

That is pretty bad damage. I've never seen a pinion twist in two like that. Good that you had another rear end, but sucks your trip got ruined.

Unfortunately, the spare I had was a SRW. It looks a little funny being narrower than the front. I do have another spare, but it's from a chassis cab. I think I'll get a buddy to move the spring perches and then swap again come winter.
And no, I forgot to put my Prolong in there. Maybe that would have saved it..... Maybe it still will.

The pics are impressive, very bad. But glad to hear that seems that everything is fine now.

Yikes... glad all is ok.

Things like this scare me especially when im off roading. If something like that happens the debree flying out can be hazardous... especially if it blew out the top of the diff...put a hole in the rear tank... and diesel flooded on top of the burning oil. Hopefully the skidplate would prevent this, but then again I would never expect any diff internals being able to break through the pumpkin

Uless I'm mistaken, the dually axle from a cab & chassis is the same width as a single wheel axle from a regular pickup, just the spring perches are located different. I would measure the distance from brake backing plate to brake backing plate on your toasted axle and the one from the c&c.

Yes, the 2 dually axles are the same, except for the perches.
