78 302 block

A friend at work has a 78 Ford 302 engine with 20,000 miles on the rebuild I can get for $50.00, I am not too familiar with Ford engines and was wondering if this block should bolt up to the transmission in my 89 F150 (302 5 speed 4X4) he said he thinks it should. Are all of the holes there for the sensors and can I use my intake etc. (I want it to be emission legal and retain the fuel injection)
Thanks in advance, James

Those have a 2 piece rear main seal so they leak a bit...

It should bolt up, I dunno what heads are on that '78 but the mechanical fuel pump thing runs off the timing chain cover to EFI will swap right over.

I am in the process of building an '84 351W into a 393, that will be EFI and sniffer legal.

The EGR stuff is in the heads and intake, not the block.
