Lets see some OBS flatbeds

Debating on buying a different 7.3 or a 5.9 to use as a farm truck or putting a flatbed on mine since the bedsides are barely too high to high to pull our cattle trailer with. Really love the way the bradford built flatbeds look but i just cant picture it on the OBS.

Does your truck sit on the overload springs with nothing hooked up? Aluminum wouldnt match my paint imo, at least not that great.

I wanted a Bradford but with my hydraulic tank between the frame rail it wouldn't work and was about 3x as much $$ as the cadet I got.

I have mirrors like glovemeister waiting to get put on. My bed sits a little higher than most

Lol no the bed didn't even squat it. It squatted my 84 f250 a decent amount. It also had a 460 so it was a gas guzzling bitch. I started the 84 project, a pretty good restore, lots of money and then found I couldn't do much with it.

The bed height is really non negotiable. For one you have to slip the filler necks through, and you also really need that 4 inch or so raise so you get some angle for your fillers. I had to jack up this Bradford when it was on my 84, because I didn't think of that. It had angle, but not nearly enough to fill

I guess you could go frame to frame, if you decided to stick your fillers out through the bed, but why waste all the deck space, or risk having them get covered when your hauling.

I don't know how you have to have that tank, but I know a couple people with bradfords and dump beds with the hydraulic tank.

It was mainly $$. I got the cadet 8'x8' hideaway gooseneck underbody toolboxes installed, and all the wiring done for $2500.

It's a 15 gallon and sits infront of my front fuel tank. It used to have a 30 gal on the bed to run a winch and capston. So rather than running new hydraulic line or extending them, it fit right in. Bradford beds are pretty bad a$$. I will try to wrestle up a pic of the truck when I first got it. My wife was like "you want THAT THING!!" ha ha ha

Oh well thats a steal then. I really want underbody boxes, but I can't bring myself to pay $200+ for each. I already paid $2300 for the flatbed. Hell my boss paid $4,500 and his flip rails are not very square so you have to use a hammer to pull pins and reinsert them. Here is his brand: www.prolinefab.com

He could have got the top of the line bradford for like $3,500. Although his particular flatbed from those dudes is pretty good. It just has a wood deck, which I don't like.

I am way glad that this thread came up because I bought my truck in november, and people say it has come a long way and I didn't really believe them. But damn I have made it look pretty sexy.
