2005 AC
2005 V10 Super Duty AC is acting up. When it is first turned on I will have it on the dash vents and the floor. It will automatically switch to the windshiled. Then around 40 mph it will switch back and blow cold air. At 55 mph it switches back to the windshield. When slowing down it does everything in reverse. Can you tell me what you think it is?

You have a vacuum leak. The HVAC is controlled by vacuum and automatically defaults to defrost for safety reasons in the event of vacuum loss.
Do you have the electronic shift on the fly (ESOF) 4wd system? If so, I would start by checking that the hubs lock in when you put it in 4wd. The ESOF hubs are also operated by vacuum and this system is known for developing vacuum leaks.
