SCT towing report
Hi guys,
Just got back from a weeks vacation in the Black Hills, SD. Thought I would share my towing results.
First, last year did a 1200 mile trip before I had a tuner and averaged 8.2 mpg. That trip was almost all in Missouri.
Now have a SCT from 5 Star with the 87 towing tune installed
Total miles traveled 2168.6
Total gals used 246.677
Average mpg. 8.8
That is about what I have been seeing ever since I have installed my tunes is .5-1.5 mpg increase. I was wondering if others were seeing the same. Very happy with my tuner. Thanks, 5 Star.
Also here is a pic of the Ex parked on the side of the road in Custer State Park. Also TT is 9500+ lbs loaded.

I take it the shifting was better through the hills? I'm thinking real hard about getting one, mainly for towing like you are.
My issues are more at highway speeds, I don't really need the 1-2 shift to be 3k, but i guess that cant hurt in getting her rolling.

I am also on the roll . Last week moved the RV from central FL to Big Hart COE campground in GA . I only checked the mpg of one segments of my trip, it was 10.01 mpg , driving @ 55-57 mph speed ( no hills in the area ) and the air-filter is brand new .
