Rear AC problems.

Hello, my 89 ford e350 460 has front and rear heater/ac. The rear ac isn't blowing cold. I pulled the panel off and the AC condenser is ice cold but the heater core is hot. My van has two gas tanks and one of my friends accidentally ran one out going about 60mph and when we switched it over and the engine restarted the heater core cooled down and the ac blew cold again for a while. Can someone help me find the switch to shut off the heater core? If its a vacuum line where would it be located? Its 108deg!

So is it blowing hot now? I would think that the rear heater core would always be hot as there is coolant flowing thru it at all times.

From what I know there is a vacuum operated shut off switch in the heater hose line for the rear heater core because the heater core will over ride the ac anytime. I'm looking for how to repair this myself because I have the same issue with my '91. For now, I'm just going to loop the heater hose so it doesn't even flow to the rear since I live in Texas!
