1954 Windshield Washer

I have a windshield washer nozzle on my hood but no windshield washer unit underneath. Does anyone have a photo of an installed unit? Was this an option for '54? Thanks

yes, it was an option. Don't have a picture to show you however. You see these on ebay sometimes...

There was a foot pedal on the floor somewhere that your foot pressure forced the water out.

Looks like another mini-project on my restoration!
Thanks for the info.

Abe is correct, the pump is foot-actuated. Here is a photo from the manual showing the backside of the pump through the firewall and the bottle mounting and the routing of the hose up to the nozzle.

And then I would think if there is a nozzle on the hood, then there will be
a hole above the dimmer switch on the firewall for the pump which is a
round alum. my 54 F800 has one, but my father replaced the hood 50 yrs
ago and forgot to keep the nozzle so I got the system and no nozzle.

Thanks - I will check my floor for a pump hole. Nice vintage construction vehicles!!! I imagine that they are rather rare.
