I like Silvolite 1130's because I use them a lot and have not had any problems. They are not cheap! Cheaper pistons are available so shop around. Check out www.kb-silvolite.com Use moly rings (they break-in quick and do not wear the block like chrome). Any good set of bearings, seals, gaskets. I NEVER reuse engine fasteners so buy a set of ARP Main bolts (studs are better but they do not clear the stock oil pan). Find a good machine shop and if you can afford it let them assemble the bottom of the engine. There are no bearings made that can compensate for a out of round or tapered crank journal. I cut them all at 10/10 and polish, then measure for clearence. Recondition the rods, balance the crank and rotating assembly. If you must assemble this yourself buy Steve Christ's book, How to rebuild big block Fords, available in the FTE store.
