What's the consensus on the best tire dressing? Armor-all (and the like) looks good (for a couple of hours) ... on the other hand, I've used stuff on other vehicles that's like epoxy and never seems to come off. Is there a happy medium?
I like the Meguiar's HOTSHINE tire coating. Spray it on let it sit and then I always wipe the tires down a couple times so it doesn't sling down the side of the truck.
There's a product that I usually pick up at the car shows but haven't gone in a while and cant think of the name. It's aerosol, doesn't wipe or sling off, perfectly clear, and makes the tires look absolutely amazing. Only down side is it stains your concrete in a weird way. You only see the spray marks when it rains or the driveway gets wet.

I used something like that years ago, but can't remember the name - I'm reminded of it every time the driveway gets wet and I see the 4 huge places where the truck was sitting when I applied it!

Oh yeah, silicone (including Armorall) soaks into the concrete and will stay there for years. It's not too different than the concrete sealer (very expensive). It shows white when wet because the water is not penetrating the concrete.

Hmmm, maybe silicone lubricant would be the best tire dressing. It's also fairly inexpensive comparatively.
I've tried many over the years but don't use tire dressings any more, not even on my Vette. I don't think the short-term appearance justifies the labor/cost of tire dressing. Plus most seem to attract dust which quickly makes the tire look worse than without.

Ditto...used it forever then realized glossy tires distracted from the rest of the truck never looked natural. However, hooked on Aerospace 303 and have been tempted to try on tires.

I've got several 303 products and they're good. Mainly got the rag top dressing for my roadster to make sure the seams were waterproof.
Decided to try some silicone lubricant I had in the garage. WD40 Water Resistent Silicone. So far, so good. Wettest shine I've seen yet. Not attracting dirt either. Gonna run through the car wash tomorrow and see how it holds up.

Wow - really interested to see your results after the car wash (before and after photo?)!
