390 4x4 headers???

any one know of a good set of fe 4x4 headers?
i bought a diy headers but lack the time to build them cause i am by no means a exhaust man.
i want 2 inch primaries into 3.5 collector. if a set that had a primary length of 32-36 inches would be ideal.

You must have alot of motor to be needing 2 inch primaries. I think that most of the headers out there will fit well, especially considering i had a set of cheap flowtechs on my 76 and they fit perfectly

I'm using these: Flowtech 12542FLT - Flowtech Headers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

No problems yet.

I bought a set of Sanderson headers (PN FF427) for my 2wd 360FE Bumpside project...3/8-inch flanges at the head and collector and made in the USA . Plain steel for $325 or ceramic coated for much more.

They'll fit a 4x4 too and ya don't have to jack up the engine to install or remove them!

These are ceramic coated:

I would say than I have enough motor. Its a stock stroke and bore 390. That's camed to just pull 16 inches of vacuum. (rules)
Head modification is forbidden but port matching the intake to the head is not.
And all the 1 3/4" primary headers have to small of ports for the d2te head. Needs to have a bigger port than the head to prevent reversion.

I just need a good fenderwell header to finally run a collector as there is no room for one inside the frame.
I learned that the hard way when the yoke on the driveshaft smashed the collector and destroyed the driver side header.

Since I am the only one in the club running a fe, I have to have my engine preform at its best.
And my ford builders book is saying to run 2 inch primaries 32 to 36 inches long into a 3.5 inch collector into a pipe that's 18 to 20 inches long and then have a bent dump tip.
And aim it 45 degrees out and it will have a mean rap.

If you got the money, I get the sandersons or mad dogs cant be the quality and the looks. I put a set of flowtechs and they work and fit pretty good, but they dont look as pretty as sandersons or the mad dogs.
