I have a 1988 Ford F-150. I think I already posted this but couldnt find it. But when I first start it after it has sat awhile its knocks once or twice. It really gets with it when you change the oil. Till the oil filter fills up the bearings all make noise then it instantly stops. Should I put bearing in this or not? It has only 100,000 miles on it. It has had regular oil changes. Can the oil pan be removed without raising the engine? Thanks
Its almost impossible to fill the oil filter first before you put it on because it sits on there dead butt sideways. Im not that fast to hurry and slap it on there even half full. I use Motorcraft FL-1A oil filter and Valvoline 10w-40. It did have quaker state ran in it. The engine is very very clean on the inside. So that makes me think that the people that had it changed it regularly.

Can I take this oil pan off with raising the engine?
